My goal is to turn internal chaos into an eloquent conversation you didn’t even know you could have. I've been told by clients that I am crisply honest, I listen intently, and I offer “wildly accurate” reflections.

I am geographically fluid and have lived and worked

in 30+ countries across 6 continents.

I specialize in working with those in recovery, digital nomads, and the LGBTQ+ community.

I love working with humans who want to hold fast to their core values

while navigating the inevitably bumpy ride through reality.

Together let’s investigate your own personal speed bumps

and explore new possibilities for a smoother ride in life.

I will kickstart your curiosity around alternative ways of thinking and acting to move you toward the results you seek.

My Approach to Coaching

My coaching approach draws from multiple disciplines to create an experience that is tailored to your needs:

  • Mindfulness - accessing the present moment to bring new awareness and sacred pauses free of worry.

  • Somatic work - observing emotions as they occur in the body to unlock their healing potential.

  • Neuroscience - understanding how to harness the brain and nervous system to work for you.

  • Yoga Therapy - application of yogic principles which may include breath work, postures and meditation.

  • Solutions-focused work - short term, strengths-based goal focused work.

I show up for you as needed. That might look like an ally as you practice new strategies, a gentle guide and compassionate coach or a tell-it-like-it-is friend who will call you out, in the best way possible.

I blend the softness of my West Coast psychological training with my homegrown, East Coast edge. I gravitate towards the concrete and practical while weaving in metaphor when examining the complex.

My vision is to assist you on your journey inward as you come home to yourself, where the best answers lie, as you consciously create a life filled with radiant health, vitality and deep satisfaction.

While my work is 100% remote I am somatically attuned and emotionally engaged. Clients often share that virtual sessions feel as effective as in-person work.

I provide brief and longer-term coaching formats depending on need as well as one-off consultation.

I have worked extensively with the following groups:

  • Co-founders and employees in start-ups struggling with esteem, focus and productivity

  • Couples and alternative relationship configurations

  • College aged students navigating transition

  • LGBTQ+ community including gender and sexual minorities

  • And most often, managing the ordinary problems of living

What is Coaching?

Coaching requires an active effort on your part. To be most successful, you will have to work on things we discuss outside of sessions.

The first 1-2 sessions will involve a comprehensive evaluation of your needs.

By the end of the evaluation, I will be able to offer you some initial impressions of what our work might include.

At that point, we’ll discuss your goals and create an action plan. You should evaluate this information and make your own assessment about whether you feel comfortable working with me. If you have questions about my procedures, we should discuss them whenever they arise.

What's the Difference Between Coaching and Psychotherapy?

As a psychotherapist, I have the scope of competence to provide mental health care (including the diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders).

When working as a coach, I do not have the scope of practice to provide mental health care.

Here are some of the differences between coaching and psychotherapy:

  • Coaching is related to pursuing specific, concrete goals and outcomes.

  • Coaching has a defined timeline.

  • Psychotherapy is for deeper work, looking into your past, is more open ended, and less directive and instructional.

  • Coaching does not constitute behavioral health treatment, counseling, or the practice of psychotherapy, and a referral will be offered if these services are needed or requested.

  • Both psychotherapy and coaching can support the improvement of mental wellness and relationships.

Psychotherapy is a health care service. Its primary focus is to identify, diagnose, and treat nervous and mental disorders. The goals include alleviating symptoms, understanding the underlying personality dynamics which create symptoms, changing the dysfunctional behaviors which are the result of these disorders, and helping patients to cope with their psychological problems. It is usually reimbursable through health insurance policies while coaching, most likely, is not depending on your provider.
